Stonington Soccer Club Visitor Policies

All visitors to any Stonington Soccer Club event at Taugwonk Field, Stonington High School or other locations are expected to observe the following guidelines for behavior anywhere in the complex while attending youth sporting events.

  • No alcohol or drugs
  • No smoking or vaping
  • No pets (this includes dogs)
  • No rude, aggressive or unsportsmanlike behavior towards referees, players, coachers or other spectators
  • Please be sure children are under supervision at all times, especially near parking areas
  • Please place any trash in designated receptacles
  • No use of wheeled vehicles or toys of any kind in parking lot or field perimeter
  • No hanging from nets!
Alcohol & Drug Policy

The possession or consumption of any alcoholic beverages, tobacco and marijuana products are prohibited at any  Stonington Soccer Club event, game or practice by any player, coach, assistant coach, manager, club official or spectator. Violation of this rule will lead to disciplinary action.

Dog Policy
While we know our four-legged friends are among our most faithful soccer fans, dogs are not permitted at any CJSA games, in Stonington or away. 
No dogs are permitted on the sidelines or on the field of any game or practice in the Town of Stonington. No dogs are permitted at Taugwonk Field, even in cars. This policy is set by CJSA, and our ability to insure our club is depending on compliance with this policy. Thank you for understanding and respecting this town and league policy




Stonington Soccer Club Policy on Bullying


This policy applies to all participants involved in Stonington Soccer Club, including players, coaches, officials, volunteers and parents.


Stonington Soccer Club is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants. Bullying of any kind is unacceptable and will not be tolerated within our organization.


Definition of Bullying:

Bullying is defined as any intentional, aggressive behavior that involves an imbalance of power and is meant to harm or intimidate another individual. This behavior may be physical, verbal, emotional, or cyber-based and can occur on or off the field.


Zero Tolerance:

Stonington Soccer Club has a zero-tolerance policy towards bullying. Any form of bullying, harassment or intimidation will result in disciplinary action, up to and including suspension or expulsion from the organization.


Reporting Procedure:

Any individual who experiences or witnesses bullying behavior is encouraged to report it promptly to a coach, staff member or designated authority figure within the organization. Reports can be made in person, in writing or anonymously through the organization's reporting system.


Investigation Process:

Upon receiving a report of bullying, Stonington Soccer Club will promptly investigate the matter in a fair, impartial and confidential manner. The investigation will involve gathering information from all parties involved and taking appropriate action based on the findings.


Consequences:

Individuals found to have engaged in bullying behavior may face disciplinary consequences, including verbal warnings, written warnings, suspension from games or practices, required parental presence at all games and practices, removal from the team or termination of membership in the organization. Repeat offenders may face more severe consequences.


Support for Victims:

Stonington Soccer Club is committed to providing support services for victims of bullying, including counseling, mediation and referrals to external resources. Victims will be supported throughout the investigation process and beyond to ensure their well-being.


Parental Involvement:

Parents/guardians are encouraged to play an active role in preventing and addressing bullying within the organization. They should educate their children about bullying, monitor their behavior and report any concerns to the appropriate authorities.


Review and Revision:

This bullying policy will be reviewed regularly to ensure its effectiveness and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Feedback from participants will be considered in the revision process to continuously improve our approach to preventing and addressing bullying.


All parties should consider whether it should be reported to the Center for Safesport.

By adhering to this bullying policy, Stonington Soccer Club is committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment where all participants can enjoy the benefits of sportsmanship, teamwork and personal growth.
